DermaESTH Hamburg

CAN A SPACE BE PERSONAL BRANDING?
At DermAesth, space is not a backdrop – it’s an extension of identity. This is not a clinic that hides behind neutral design codes. It’s a curated environment that reflects the personality of the physician at its core: bold, culturally fluent, and unapologetically individual.

The centerpiece is a large light wall featuring a pink AT-AT – a pop-cultural icon recontextualized in a medical setting. It surprises, provokes, and captures attention. More than decoration, it signals the core idea of this space: beauty doesn’t need to conform – it can be expressive, ironic, and intelligent.

Facing it: a 10-meter-long wall of real brass, with integrated doors and architectural precision. It serves as a counterbalance to the pop-art energy – grounding the space in material honesty and craftsmanship. The brass isn’t just aesthetic; it’s a declaration of authenticity.

Instead of a conventional reception desk, standing counters create a more accessible atmosphere. The mirrored ceiling above – embedded with linear light elements – expands the space, multiplies movement, and turns light into architecture. Throughout the practice, translucent industrial glass panels allow natural daylight to flow deep into the interior. Glass doors subtly shift color depending on movement and angle

The client’s passion for art and pop culture is present throughout: a neon sign reads “Don’t stop until you’re proud”, while the cosmetics area stands apart with warm apricot-colored walls and softer transitions.

DermAesth is not a medical space in the traditional sense. It’s a spatial self-portrait – a personal brand expressed through architecture, material, and emotion.
